Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assisted Care Medical Assistant (ACMA) to join our team during the overnight shift, working Monday through Friday from 11pm to 7am. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care and support within a senior living or healthcare environment, ensuring residents receive personalized assistance with their daily needs. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a safe, comfortable, and nurturing atmosphere for our residents. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring specialized care, including those with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other complex health conditions. Responsibilities Assist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, mobility, and toileting while maintaining dignity and respect. Monitor vital signs and observe changes in residents' health status, reporting findings promptly to nursing staff. Administer medications and treatments accurately following established protocols and medical documentation standards. Support residents with specialized needs including tube feeding, catheter care, and memory care routines. Maintain detailed and compliant medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Assist with resident transfers and heavy lifting using proper manual handling techniques to ensure safety for both staff and residents. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, caregivers, families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care. peg tube feedings and medications Skills Advanced Certified Medication Aide Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and senior care practices. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation. Ability to perform CPR and first aid confidently; certification preferred but training provided if necessary. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia; knowledge of Alzheimer's and memory care is highly valued. Skilled in medication administration, vital signs measurement, tube feeding management, and catheter care. Knowledge of state healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and resident confidentiality standards.
