In this role, you will be instrumental in developing precise fire protection system designs that ensure safety and compliance across diverse construction projects. Your expertise will help translate complex project requirements into comprehensive, accurate documentation and schematics, supporting the successful implementation of fire sprinkler systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with building information modeling (BIM) tools and sprinkler design software, contributing to life-saving safety solutions. Responsibilities Develop detailed fire sprinkler system designs using HydraCAD (if you are familiar with other software and feel you can learn it, no problem). Create comprehensive schematics, layouts, and drawings for fire protection systems that meet all relevant codes and standards. Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to interpret project requirements and produce effective mechanical drafting solutions. Incorporate building information modeling (BIM) tools such as Revit to enhance project coordination and streamline design workflows. Review project specifications and schematics to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with safety standards; revise designs as needed based on feedback or site conditions. Core Skills Strong background in BIM and experience designing large-scale fire sprinkler projects. NICET preferred but not required. Knowledge of building codes, fire safety standards, and schematic development for fire protection systems. Familiarity with mechanical design principles related to fire sprinkler systems and plumbing layouts. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams; detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in all deliverables.
Pay:
