Full Job Description Overview:
Compensation / Benefits $21.15
  • $34.
55/hr. based on previous work experience. Evening differential $2.00/hr. Night differential $2.50/hr. Weekend differential $2.50/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, scholarship opportunities, retirement plans, free parking, and opportunities for advancement Ortho/Spine is a 32 bed unit specializing in orthopedic patients. We have disease specific certification from the Joint Commission in Hip Replacement, Knee Replacement and Hip Fx patients which deems us a center of excellence. We also care for Total Shoulder and Ankle patients as well as other fractures. We also care for low level cardiac patients and some med-surg patients.
Responsibilities:
Job Summary Performs duties of a licensed practical nurse as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act Contributes to the development of a plan of care and follows through with such plan for selected patients Administers medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy Documents nursing care and activities Assists with patient care and monitors patients during procedures Assists the departmental assistant with clinical matters Maintains the exam/treatment rooms and work environment Assists with the training of other staff
Qualifications:
Education Completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse Experience Prefer previous hospital experience Previous work history reflecting stable employment is necessary If no work experience, will consider school attendance record and performance Licensure/Certification. Current Oklahoma State LPN License Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment
