Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Preventionist (ADON/IP) - LPN The Artesian Home is a skilled nursing and long-term care facility located in the beautiful community of Sulphur, Oklahoma. We are committed to providing quality care in a comfortable, supportive, and friendly environment. We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our leadership team as the Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Preventionist (ADON/IP). This position works closely with the Director of Nursing to support the daily operations of the nursing department, promote quality clinical practices, and coordinate the facility's infection prevention and control program. The ideal candidate will be an experienced LPN with strong leadership, communication, organizational, and clinical skills. Participation in a rotating on-call schedule is required. Key Responsibilities Assist the Director of Nursing with the daily operations of the nursing department. Provide guidance, education, and clinical support to nursing staff. Assist with staffing coordination and employee scheduling. Monitor resident care and help ensure services are provided according to each resident's plan of care. Assist with clinical documentation, audits, quality measures, and required reporting. Participate in resident assessments, care planning, and interdisciplinary team meetings as assigned. Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and facility staff. Assist with investigating and following up on clinical concerns, incidents, and changes in resident condition. Help ensure compliance with applicable regulations, facility policies, and accepted standards of nursing practice. Coordinate, implement, monitor, and evaluate the facility's infection prevention and control program. Conduct infection surveillance and review data to identify patterns, trends, and potential risk factors. Maintain infection control records and complete required facility, state, and federal reporting. Monitor staff compliance with infection prevention practices. Provide infection prevention education and guidance to facility staff. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities. Perform additional nursing and leadership duties as assigned. Qualifications Current, active Oklahoma LPN license in good standing. Nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred. Previous leadership, supervisory, or infection prevention experience is preferred. Knowledge of nursing standards, infection prevention practices, and long-term care regulations. Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Compassionate, dependable, and committed to quality resident care. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment. Benefits are available after 30 days of employment.
