Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Bradford Ecumenical Home, Inc. is a Continuing Care Retirement Community offering the full range of senior living services, including independent living, personal care, dementia care, and skilled nursing. We have a complete Electronic Medical Record allowing more time to focus on resident care. We are currently seeking dedicated, motivated candidates in the local area for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to add to our growing team! We are currently hiring for full and part time positions. Must possess Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License. Provide nursing care to residents under the direction and supervision of a professional registered nurse. Accessible to all residents and shall be qualified by training and experience to assure prompt, appropriate action in the event of an injury, illness, fire or other emergency. Provide basic life support, including initiation of CPR to a resident who experiences cardiac arrest prior to the arrival of Emergency Medical Services based upon the resident's advance directives or in the absence of advance directives or a DNR order. Follow proper reporting procedures of suspected abuse. Assist in the development and implementation of written resident care plans. Administer and document medications as ordered and observe and document resident reactions. Provide therapeutic treatments as ordered by physicians and document resident outcomes. Perform functions and duties relating to the administration of intravenous therapy under the direction of a professional nurse or physician per Bradford Ecumenical Home policy. Observe and record, and report to supervisor or the physician the resident's conditions and reactions to drugs, treatments and significant incidents. Supervise nursing assistants by directing them through chain of command. Maintain in accordance with professional standards and practices an organized, complete resident medical record. Complete behavior monitoring and documentation. Complete various observation forms for MDS data collection. Maintain confidentiality of all resident data. Offer emotional support to residents and families during facility adjustment, the grief process, coping with chronic illness and working with the cognitively impaired resident and their family.
