Duties Administer IV infusions, including hydration therapy and vitamin drips, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems Provide patient education on IV treatments, wellness protocols, and post-care instructions to promote informed decision-making Monitor patients during procedures for signs of adverse reactions or complications, responding swiftly with appropriate interventions Maintain sterile technique and aseptic procedures during all clinical activities, including catheter care and specimen collection when necessary Document all nursing interventions accurately within medical documentation standards while adhering to HIPAA confidentiality policies Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans for clients with complex needs such as chronic pain management or dementia care Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current CPR/BLS certification Proven experience with IV infusion therapy, including IV insertion and catheterization techniques Critical care experience or background working in emergency medicine, ICU, or hospital settings preferred Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration protocols Experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring hospice or memory care services Strong communication skills to effectively educate clients and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams Embark on a rewarding journey where your nursing skills make a real difference!
