Job Description

An exciting contract opportunity awaits for dedicated LPNs interested in supporting young students throughout the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you'll provide essential care within an elementary school setting, working closely with the school nurse to promote a healthy and nurturing environment. This position is ideal for nurses who thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented atmosphere and have a passion for making a daily difference in childrens lives.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active LPN/LVN licensure Previous experience in a school environment or with pediatric populations preferred Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Adaptability and comfort stepping into a substitute PCA or 1:1 support staff role when needed Compassionate approach and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and safety
Role Responsibilities:
Assist the school nurse with daily tasks and health office operations Deliver individualized medical and healthcare support to students as directed Step in as substitute 1:1 support for students, including support for a diabetic student in coordination with the nurse Monitor health needs, administer medications, and respond to medical emergencies as required Document care and communicate effectively with staff and families Maintain professionalism, reliability, and positivity within the school community This full-time contract assignment offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00am to 3:30pm, at an elementary campus.
