LPN/CMA - Clinical & Clerical Position Summary The LPN/CMA - Clinical & Clerical is responsible for providing quality patient care while supporting the daily administrative and clerical operations of the healthcare office. This position requires excellent clinical skills, professionalism, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with patients, providers, and staff. This position will primarily be administrative with clinical duties as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clerical/Administrative Responsibilities Answer phones, greet patients, and provide courteous customer service. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments. Register patients and verify demographic, insurance, and other required information. Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, prescription requests, and medical records. Schedule diagnostic testing ordered by the providers. Process incoming and outgoing correspondence, forms, and medical documentation. Assist with scanning, filing, faxing, and maintaining accurate patient records. Communicate with pharmacies, laboratories, hospitals, insurance companies, and other healthcare organizations as needed. Collect and document required patient information and payments according to office procedures. Maintain an organized, clean, and professional clinical and front-office environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Clinical Responsibilities Provide direct patient care within the scope of licensure/certification and applicable regulations. Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medication information, and patient concerns. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures. Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor office procedures. Administer injections as authorized and within applicable scope of practice. Perform or assist with point-of-care testing, specimen collection, wound care, and other clinical services as appropriate. Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR){MEDENT}. Follow infection-control, safety, HIPAA, and other applicable healthcare regulations and policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Compensation dependent on experience and position
