Job Description

Do you have what it takes to be part of our amazing team? We are looking for a dynamic LPN/RN to join our established pediatric medical practice. We work hard and we laugh a lot. As an LPN/RN in our practice, you would work under the direction of the physician/nurse practitioner in a pediatric medical office Hours Part-Time. No Sundays, no late evenings, no Holidays! Monday 7:30a-5:30p, Thursday 7:30a-6:15p and 1 in every 6 Saturday morning rotation 7:30a-12:30p. There will be opportunities to pick up additional shifts if desired. Responsibilities Triages patient calls. Prepares examination and treatment areas. Prepares patient for examination, treatment, and procedures. Interacts with kids and their parents. Documents data collected during the patient care process via electronic medical record. Collects, completes and processes lab specimens and required paperwork. Prepares and administers medications and immunizations, under the supervision of physician/nurse practitioner. Processes sample medications, prescriptions, and refills as directed. Educates patients/families with instruction provided by the physician/nurse practitioner. Assists provider with screening and follow-up with patient test results. Expedites referrals to other health care providers. Checks medications for expiration dates and proper labels. Skills Active listening skills and empathy toward others High attention to detail Strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to follow well-defined instructions and comply with regulations, standards and procedures Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Education Registered Nurse Diploma License and/or Certification Current LPN or RN licensure by the state of Pennsylvania American Heart CPR certification required Compensation Competitive pay.
