A Licensed Practical Nurse or Vocational Nurse provides basic medical care under the direction of registered nurses and other healthcare specialists. The tasks that they are permitted to perform vary by state, but usually include changing bandages, checking blood pressure, or helping feed patients. May work in hospitals, nursing homes, or other healthcare facilities.

Licensed Practical Nurse , supporting the Redstone mission will include the following responsibilities: Providing total nursing care to residents in the facility Maintaining a safe abuse free environment for all residents living in the facility Administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician. Accurate documentation regarding residents' conditions, medications, treatments, and other mandated records Accurate completion of admission process to include assessments, interim care plans, service plans obtain physician orders, and timely documentation as per admission process.
