Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in a vibrant elementary school setting supporting student health and wellness. This contract opportunity is ideal for an LPN/LVN with experience in education or pediatric care. You'll work 35 hours per week following the school year calendar, providing essential care and support for students and collaborating with a dedicated nurse team.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active LPN or LVN license required School nursing or pediatric care experience strongly preferred Comfort with health office duties and collaborating with staff in a dynamic K-12 environment Flexibility to provide one-on-one or PCA coverage as needed Basic diabetic care knowledge a plus Positive communication skills and a compassionate attitude with young students Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation
Responsibilities:
Assist the school nurse in the daily health office routine, attending to acute injuries, chronic health plans, and medication administration Provide substitute coverage for a PCA/1:1 staff member for two students, stepping in when primary support staff are absent Support specific care of a student with diabetes, in collaboration with the school nurse Respond to health emergencies efficiently following school health policies Maintain a welcoming and safe health office environment Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families Keep compliant and detailed health records as required This role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule during the school year, structured hours (8:00am 3:30pm), and the opportunity to become a trusted resource within a close-knit elementary community.
