An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled LPN/LVN to provide essential school-based health services. This role is based at an elementary school, supporting the health office and assisting students during regular school hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am 3:30 pm), totaling 35 hours per week. The assignment runs from ASAP through May 26, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

Current, active LPN or LVN license Previous experience in school, pediatric, or similar healthcare settings preferred Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills Ability to provide both general health support and individualized care Reliable, compassionate, and flexible to support student needs Comfortable assisting with diabetic care under a school nurses supervision Ready to serve as a substitute 1:1 support, as needed, in special circumstances

Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the school nurse to manage the daily health office operations Deliver first aid, health assessments, and medication administration per protocols Support documentation and communication with families and staff as required Serve as a substitute for PCA/1:1 student support when primary staff are unavailable Assist in care for students with chronic conditions, including diabetes, under nursing guidance Maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout all duties Foster a safe, healthy environment for all students and staff This contract offers a consistent weekday schedule and valuable school-based nursing experience over multiple school years.
