Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Weekend and PRN On-Call Nurse to provide exceptional patient care during weekends and on an as-needed basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, delivering vital nursing services across various settings. As a key member of our care team, you will ensure timely, accurate assessments and interventions, supporting patients' health and well-being with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise will help maintain high standards of care, foster positive patient experiences, and uphold compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medication administration. Respond promptly to urgent patient needs, providing triage and acute care interventions as required. Administer medications, including injections, following strict protocols and safety guidelines. Document all patient interactions accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control policies, and long-term care regulations during all patient interactions. Qualifications Valid nursing license in good standing with current state certification. Proven experience in critical care settings such as ICU, emergency room, or trauma centers. Familiarity with EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; EMR/EHR management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and patient assessment techniques. Experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Skilled in, medication administration, catheterization, first aid, and basic life support (BLS). Ability to work independently during on-call hours while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.
