A rewarding opportunity is available for skilled LPNs, LVNs, or RNs to assist students attending an Extended School Year (ESY) program near Providence, RI. This short-term contract is perfect for nurses who enjoy working with children and are seeking consistent, daytime hours.

Duration:

July 6th through August 6th

Schedule:

Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 11:30 am

Caseload:

Elementary students participating in

ESY Additional Responsibility:

Accompany a student to and from school by bus, ensuring safety and providing medical support as needed

Weekly Commitment:

16 hours (4 hours daily, including time allocated for bus transportation)

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid and active LPN, LVN, or RN license in the state of Rhode Island (or eligibility to obtain) Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred Ability to provide compassionate care for young students in a school environment Comfortable with bus transportation supervision and emergency response protocols Exceptional communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

Deliver routine and emergency nursing care to assigned student(s) during school hours and transport Maintain accurate health records and communicate updates with school staff and families as necessary Monitor students wellbeing throughout the school day and during transportation Provide medication administration and manage health concerns according to the care plan If you thrive in a supportive setting and want to contribute meaningfully during summer school, this contract role offers a unique chance to make a difference.
