Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents, including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and physical assessments. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet each resident's unique needs. Manage acute pain and assist with complex medical procedures such as IV infusions, catheterization, and wound care. Document all patient interactions accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies. Conduct triage assessments to prioritize resident needs and coordinate timely interventions for emergent situations. Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques, ensuring safety and dignity. Educate residents and their families on health management, medication routines, and post-discharge care planning. Requirements Valid licensure as an LPN or RN with current state certification. Able to work 3rd Shift (overnights) Proven experience in long-term care facilities or skilled nursing environments; experience working with geriatric patients is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding standards (ICD-9/10). Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation. Competence in performing physical examinations, vital sign assessment, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is a plus. Ability to handle emergency situations effectively, including ventilator management or acute trauma response if applicable.
