Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), where your expertise will directly impact patient care and well-being. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, skilled nursing services in a long-term care facility. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Point Click Care. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, and laboratory processing. Provide wound care, catheterization, tube feeding, and sterile dressing changes in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies and aseptic techniques. Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility assistance with Hoyer lifts or other equipment, and ensure safety protocols are followed in all patient interactions. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and long-term care regulations while ensuring timely updates in EMR/EHR systems like Point Click Care. Participate in triage activities for urgent or emergent situations such as acute pain management or infectious disease outbreaks; communicate effectively with clients and caregivers to provide education and support. Skills Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and relevant clinical procedures such as catheter care, and first aid. Skilled in using EMR/EHR systems like Point Click Care for accurate documentation and patient record management. Excellent caregiver communication skills to effectively educate patients and families about treatment plans while maintaining compassionate bedside manner. Knowledge of long-term care regulations and experience working within skilled nursing facilities is highly desirable. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR; additional certifications like IV insertion or advanced wound care are a plus. Join us to make a meaningful difference through expert nursing care! Pay:
$27.00 - $39.25 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 40.0 per week
