Job Description
Job Summary Our growing Pediatric office located in Murrells Inlet, SC is looking to hire a Licensed Practical Nurse. If you love working with children, are personable and friendly, this is the job for you! Responsibilities and Duties The Licensed Practical Nurse acts as both an administrator and healthcare professional, performing clinical duties and administrative tasks in the medical office. Duties include, but are not limited to: Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and courteous manner. Plans and manages patient care according to each patient's needs. Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition. Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration. Assists the physician with documenting all relevant information and treatment into the patient's chart. Reviews medical charts. Communicates with patients and their families. Prepares specimens for lab courier. Prepares and administers medications and immunizations. Performs lab tests; Flu, RSV, Strep, Urinalysis, Hemoglobin, and Lead testing. After hours-on call. Qualifications and Skills Pediatrics and/or Family practice experience preferred, but not necessary. Ability to administer a variety of treatments and medications as directed. Training will be at our Georgetown location.
