Job Description

Southern Health Partners Inc seeks a part-time Weekend LPN to deliver compassionate care in a correctional healthcare setting. You'll provide direct nursing care, administer medications, complete assessments, and support chronic and acute care services for incarcerated patients. Working within a collaborative team, you'll help ensure regulatory compliance, safety, and quality standards. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under RN or physician supervision Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations per provider orders and protocols Perform patient assessments, triage sick calls, and document findings accurately in medical records Assist with intake screenings, chronic care clinics, and health education for inmates Respond to medical emergencies, follow infection control standards, and maintain safety procedures Collaborate with healthcare and correctional staff to coordinate care and ensure regulatory compliance Monitor patient conditions, report changes promptly, and support care plans Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and medication counts to meet facility and state requirements Required Skills Medication administration Patient assessment Triage Electronic medical records (EMR) documentation Phlebotomy and specimen collection Wound care Infection control Emergency response/CPRChronic disease management support Vital signs monitoring
