Job Description
Overview We are a faith based company Kirby Pines is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the admissions process, ensuring that all patient information is accurately collected and maintained in compliance with relevant regulations. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Admissions Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating patient intake, managing medical records, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Oversee the admissions process, including patient intake and documentation review. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information. Utilize various EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, and Dentrix for accurate data entry and management. Conduct insurance verification and manage medical billing processes. Assist patients with scheduling appointments and provide front desk support. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper coding using
ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT
coding, and other relevant coding systems. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop care plans and ensure seamless communication between departments. Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and handling multi-line phone systems. Address patient inquiries with professionalism and courtesy while ensuring a positive patient experience. Qualifications Must have a valid LPN License Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and coding (ICD-9, ICD-10) is essential. Proficiency in using EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation processes. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries effectively. Experience with medical administrative support tasks including scheduling, insurance verification, and clerical duties is highly desirable.
