Job Description

Volunteer Behavioral Health is now seeking a part-time LPN, in the Monteagle TN area.
Schedules:
(Part-Time, 7A-7P, Sat-Sun)
Starting Pay:
$26.00 PH.
EXEMPLARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides prescribed medical treatment and personal care services.
  • Takes and records patients' vital signs.
  • Dresses wounds, gives enemas, douches, alcohol rubs, and massages.
  • Applies compresses, ice bags, and hot water bottles.
  • Observes patients and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to the medical personnel in charge.
  • Administers specific medication as prescribed by a medical provider and notes time and amount on patients' charts.
  • Assembles and uses such equipment as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, and oxygen supplies.
  • Collects samples, such as urine, blood, sputum, from patients and performs routine laboratory tests on samples.
  • Sterilizes equipment and supplies.
  • Examines food trays for prescribed diets and assists with feeding if necessary.
  • Records food and fluid intake and output if indicated.
  • Assist in bathing, dressing, and assisting clients in walking if needed.
  • Assist in cleaning rooms and meal preparation if needed.
  • Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
  • Inventory and requisition supplies if needed
  • Other duties as assigned.

Pay:
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour
