Wound Care Nurse (RN/LPN) Sevierville Health and Rehabilitation Center
  • Sevierville, TN Full Time | Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care Sevierville Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Wound Care Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team in Sevierville, Tennessee .
The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing and treating complex wounds in a skilled nursing environment, providing high-quality patient care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal healing outcomes. Job Requirements Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in TN. Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in wound care or a related field. Certification in Wound Care (WCC, CWCN, or equivalent) required Strong knowledge of wound care products, dressing materials, and advanced wound healing techniques. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Job Responsibilities Assess, monitor, and treat patients with acute and chronic wounds, including pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, and other complex skin conditions. Develop individualized wound care plans, in collaboration with the healthcare team, and implement evidence-based treatment protocols. Perform wound assessments, dressing changes, debridement, and other procedures as necessary. Educate patients and their families on proper wound care and prevention strategies. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, keeping the team informed of any changes or concerns. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients. Stay updated on current wound care practices, techniques, and equipment.
