Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Administer medications and injections accurately following physician orders while ensuring adherence to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Manage IV infusions, catheter care, tube feeding, and ventilator support for patients across various care settings. Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, processing, and basic medical imaging procedures when applicable. Assist with complex procedures including airway management, cardiac catheterization preparation, and sterile processing tasks like suturing and dressing changes. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory impairments, or developmental disabilities in memory care or long-term care environments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and patient education to optimize health outcomes. Qualifications Valid LPN or RN license in good standing; additional certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) are highly preferred. Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal or ICU patients; experience with trauma centers or emergency medicine is a plus. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation and patient record management. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), medication administration protocols, and infection control practices. Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver communication and patient/client interaction; experience working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous. Ability to perform physical examinations, venipuncture (phlebotomy), first aid procedures, and other clinical tasks confidently. Flexibility to work in fast-paced environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, hospice care settings or home & community care environments.
