Job Duties:

Administer medications and prescribed treatments through oral, rectal, topical/internal, and injectable routes in accordance with applicable requirements and facility policies. Perform technical nursing procedures after successful demonstration and documented competency. Monitor individuals before, during, and after treatments and procedures, identifying and reporting changes in condition. Accurately document nursing care, treatments, observations, and other pertinent information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) or paper medical record. Communicate important clinical and care-related information clearly and promptly to other members of the healthcare team, both verbally and in writing. Respond appropriately to emergency situations and take necessary steps to promote the safety and well-being of individuals. Follow established safety, infection prevention, and control procedures at all times. Collect specimens for laboratory examination and perform approved screening tests once competency has been demonstrated. Provide education and guidance to individuals regarding treatment plans, wellness, and specific health goals. Assist other healthcare staff with turning and repositioning individuals as needed to safely administer treatments and provide care. Maintain adequate supplies and promptly identify supply needs to support uninterrupted patient care. Maintain accurate and organized medical records in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Collaborate with nurses, healthcare professionals, direct-care staff, and other team members to support quality outcomes. Maintain professional standards, confidentiality, and respectful communication in all interactions. Maintain reliable attendance and flexibility to work assigned schedules, including specific shifts, rotating schedules, extended shifts, and overtime when required.
