Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) working the 6AM to 6PM shift, three days a week on set days! Duties Perform detailed patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform catheterizations following strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Monitor patients' conditions closely, manage acute pain, and respond promptly to urgent needs such as airway management or emergency interventions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with diverse needs including geriatrics, dementia, Alzheimer's care, and memory care. Document all nursing activities accurately in medical records while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies. Provide patient education on medication administration, nutrition, mobility aids like Hoyer lifts, and self-care techniques tailored for long-term care or post-acute settings. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection and processing while adhering to infection control standards. Qualifications Valid LVN or RN license in good standing; experience working with geriatric patients preferred. Critical care experience including ICU or emergency medicine strongly desired; familiarity with Level I Trauma Center procedures is a plus. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; experience with medical documentation and ICD coding (ICD-9/10). Demonstrated expertise in IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS/CPR). Knowledge of long-term care regulations, dementia care practices, and hospice or palliative care principles. Strong communication skills for caregiver interaction and client education; ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays. Physical ability to assist patients with mobility aids like Hoyer lifts and perform physical examinations requiring physical stamina.
