Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories to inform care plans. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, with in your scope of practice. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, processing, and documentation within EMR/EHR systems. Manage airway devices like ventilators and perform basic life support (BLS) procedures during emergencies. Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory care requirements. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with long-term care regulations. Maintain meticulous medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Support patient education on medication administration, nutrition, pain management, and self-care techniques. Participate in infection control practices and sterile processing to uphold safety standards across all clinical activities. Work with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges, and those requiring hospice or acute care services. Skills Proven experience working in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, hospice, home health, nursing homes, outpatient clinics, or home care environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy,and physiology. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and patient data management. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate caregiver communication tailored to individual needs. Ability to handle emergency situations efficiently using CPR and first aid skills while maintaining calm under pressure. Familiarity with long-term care regulations, dementia care practices—including Alzheimer's and memory care—and acute pain management strategies. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges across diverse age groups including neonatal ventilator management or toddler care when applicable. Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination in clinical environments. Strong organizational skills for managing multiple priorities such as intake assessments, medication administration, specimen processing, and medical documentation.
