Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine individual care needs. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Manage IV infusions and catheterizations with sterile technique, monitoring for complications and maintaining proper documentation. Assist with medical procedures such as suturing, tube feeding, venipuncture, and airway management in various clinical settings including emergency rooms, ICUs, and outpatient clinics. Document all patient interactions meticulously using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical standards. Coordinate discharge planning, case management, and follow-up care to support patients transitioning between hospital, home care, or long-term facilities. Provide specialized care for patients with complex conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, infectious diseases, or those requiring hospice or palliative services. Requirements Valid LVN license in good standing with current state certification. Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I trauma centers is highly desirable. Strong background in medical-surgical nursing, geriatrics, pediatrics or emergency medicine preferred. Experience working with diverse patient populations including those with developmental disabilities or memory care needs. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner or Athenahealth; experience with medical imaging or laboratory processing is a plus. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterile processing procedures.
