Assists the professional nursing staff in providing maximum patient care, assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of each assigned patient. Under supervision gives direct and indirect patient care as assigned.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Extended periods of standing or walking, manual dexterity, pushing, pulling, repetitive motion, lifting/carrying 50lbs., kneeling, bending, stooping, visual acuity, hearing acuity, and reaching.

EDUCATION:
1. Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
LICENSURE, REGISTRY, AND CERTIFICATION
1. License in vocational nursing 2.
BCLS PERSONAL JOB RELATED SKILLS
1. Effective oral and written communication skills.
EXPERIENCE
Prior Work Experience:
1. Two (2) years experience as a professional Licensed Vocational Nurse preferred
Technical Training:
1. Current CPR certification.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES RATING
Primary Responsibilities for all halls assigned : Utilizes the nursing process, completes a comprehensive physical and psychological assessment of patients. 1. Takes nursing histories to provide a basis for developing patient care plans. 2. Provides a basic assessment needs of residents needs/desires 3. Identifies teaching and learning needs with each resident to promote independence. 4. Provides an ongoing assessment that accurately reflects needs and desires of residents 5. Consistently uses input form resident, family, significant other, physician, and healthcare team members.
