Full Job Description Role Overview:
Provides patient care under supervision of physicians or registered nurses, adhering to established standards and practices.Key Responsibilities:
Performs basic patient care duties such as obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens, including phlebotomy. Assists providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures, and manages patient flow within the clinic. Handles communication tasks like answering phones, recording messages, and assisting with patient-related calls. Supports scheduling of tests, managing results, and pre-certification processes. Documents patient information accurately and assists with medication refills. Administers medications and immunizations as ordered by providers. Maintains cleanliness and restocking of exam rooms, and ensures equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized. Performs routine clerical duties, including chart retrieval, filing, and completing forms. Participates in meetings and training sessions, and performs additional duties as assigned.Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program. Licensed LVN in the state of employment or a compact license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Benefits
