+$4.00/hr ✅
Weekend Nursing Day Shift:
+$1.00/hr Plus, employees receive an annual 3% Cost of Living Adjustment, separate from performance-based wage reviews. Position Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Southern Utah Veterans Home provides direct nursing care to veterans residing in the facility. The LPN works under the supervision of Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, compassionate care that meets the physical and emotional needs of our veteran residents. Key Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to facility policies. Monitor and document residents' health status, including vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Provide wound care and other nursing procedures as required. Maintain accurate and timely medical records and reports. Respond promptly to resident emergencies and provide appropriate interventions. Educate residents and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention. Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Utah. Minimum of 1 year nursing experience preferred, preferably in long-term care or geriatric settings. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
