Responsibilities Administer medications and injections accurately following physician orders while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality policies Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and symptom evaluations to inform care plans Assist with medical procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, venipuncture, sterile processing, and wound suturing Manage IV infusions and ventilator support for patients requiring acute or chronic care Document all patient interactions thoroughly using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth to ensure precise medical records management Provide patient education on medication administration, disease management (including infectious disease care), and lifestyle modifications tailored to individual needs Support discharge planning and case management efforts by coordinating follow-up care and communicating effectively with clients and caregivers Experience Proven experience working as an LPN in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU, emergency room, trauma centers), nursing homes, or outpatient clinics Demonstrated expertise in critical care settings like Level I or Level II trauma centers or ICU units Familiarity with medical coding systems such as ICD-9/10 and CPT coding for accurate documentation and billing processes Hands-on experience in specialized areas including hospice care, geriatrics, pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), behavioral health, or post-acute care settings Knowledge of physiology principles relevant to patient assessment and acute pain management strategies Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia—especially within memory or long-term care environments Ability to perform first aid procedures, airway management techniques, sterile techniques for specimen collection/processing, and basic life support (BLS) certification Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for seamless documentation and communication across multidisciplinary teams Join us if you're passionate about delivering compassionate nursing care that transforms lives!
