Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students and school communities as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a dynamic educational setting near Locust Grove, VA. Multiple full-time positions are available, each offering the chance to make a meaningful difference in children's lives while expanding your clinical experience in school nursing.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active LPN license in the state of Virginia Experience or strong comfort level with diabetic care, seizure protocols, G-tube and trach care, toileting, diapering, and health monitoring Ability and willingness to accompany students during bus transportation as needed Demonstrated flexibility and teamwork skills, with a readiness to respond to changing student needs Prior experience in a pediatric or school environment is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate, comprehensive care to students with varying health needs throughout the school day Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor acute and chronic health conditions, and respond to emergencies Support students with complex health needs, including seizure management, diabetes treatment, and trach or G-tube care Assist with daily living activities such as toileting and diapering in a professional, dignified manner Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with staff, students, and families regarding health plans Ride on school buses as required to ensure student safety during transit This is a full-time contract role, with 37.5 hours per week, offering variety and daily impact.
