Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), where your expertise will directly impact patient care and well-being. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, skilled nursing services by providing care to pediatric patients in an urgent care setting. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to apply your clinical skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment that values your contributions and fosters professional growth. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and catheter care. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection and processing. Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies while documenting medical records accurately in EMR/EHR systems. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current certification. Demonstrated proficiency in critical areas including IV infusion, medication administration, catheterization, and wound care. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology). Strong communication skills for effective caregiver-patient interactions and interdisciplinary team collaboration. Commitment to patient safety protocols including infection control practices and sterile techniques; certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid required.
