- Sussex State Prison at 24414 Musselwhite Drive, Waverly, Virginia 23891 Job Summary Each of our facilities house male offenders of various ages for sentences of variable length, up to and including life.
Duties Include:
Screen health complaints Take vital signs Administers medication Perform sick call Develops treatment plans Completes tele-health appointments Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited nursing program Possess/Maintain a valid, unrestricted nursing license that is valid is the state of Virginia Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) The Commonwealth of Virginia offers a generous benefits package to state employees from health benefits to paid leave and flexible work schedules.
