A Licensed Practical Nurse or Vocational Nurse provides basic medical care under the direction of registered nurses and other healthcare specialists. The tasks that they are permitted to perform vary by state, but usually include changing bandages, checking blood pressure, or helping feed patients. May work in hospitals, nursing homes, or other healthcare facilities.
TriSource Staffing is seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Practical Nurse for a temporary, 6-month assignment . In this role, you will provide nursing services and health care to clients, monitoring health and general wellbeing, managing health issues, and assisting in direct patient care.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day, scheduled between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00
PM Pay Rate:
$35.00 per hour
Qualifications & Requirements Core Requirement:
Experience working with children is a must.
Education:
Diploma/GED, with graduation from a State-accredited program of practical nurse education.
Licensure & Certification:
Valid LPN License from the State Board of Nursing, valid LPN Compact CPR certification, and a valid driver's license.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year or moderate experience as a practical nurse in a behavioral health setting (or equivalent combination of education and experience), along with previous medication administration experience.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions Direct Patient Care:
Assess and evaluate clients, obtain and review pertinent medical data, collect vital signs and specimens, and monitor client responses to treatment. Follow through with treatment plans while assisting RNs or physicians.
Clinical Support:
Assist with psychological reviews, schedule client appointments with health care providers and dentists, and attend neurology or specialty appointments as appropriate.
Documentation & Administration:
Document the administration of care in client medical records in a timely and thorough manner, and administer medications as directed.
Team Collaboration:
Provide the medical perspective into client care for all Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings.
Health Maintenance & Safety:
Provide hepatitis B or flu vaccines and PPD testing to staff, promote and assist in the control of communicable disease, and provide crisis intervention services as necessary.
On-Call Rotation:
Work on-call duty in rotation and promptly respond to calls for immediate nursing services.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands Environment:
Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur. May be exposed to physical altercations, verbal abuse, human blood, body fluids, and infectious materials while utilizing universal precautions.
Physical Requirements:
Requires manual dexterity (eye/hand coordination), finger dexterity, the ability to maneuver the weight of clients, hear alarms and telephones, reach above shoulders, and execute repetitive arm and hand movements. Frequent standing, walking, and lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs. Apply Today! #IND3
