Duties Conduct comprehensive health assessments and screenings for students, including vital signs and physical examinations Administer medications, injections, and IV infusions following strict protocols and HIPAA confidentiality policies Manage emergency situations with first aid, CPR, airway management, and acute pain management techniques Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop individualized health plans for students with disabilities or chronic conditions such as Alzheimer's or dementia care needs Maintain accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Epic or Athenahealth Provide health education to students and staff on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, medication administration, and injury prevention Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations and school health policies while supporting students' physical and emotional well-being Skills Valid LPN license with current state licensure and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Experience working with children or adolescents in educational or healthcare settings Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner, Epic, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical records management Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques Skilled in patient assessment, specimen collection/processing, catheter care, and tube feeding procedures Familiarity with infectious disease control practices and infection prevention protocols in school environments Ability to communicate effectively with caregivers, teachers, healthcare providers, and students of diverse backgrounds including those with developmental disabilities or special healthcare needs Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing top-tier nursing care in a supportive educational environment.
