Job Description

Make a meaningful impact working as a Licensed Practical Nurse supporting students for the upcoming academic year. This part-time, contract opportunity is perfect for an LPN who thrives in a school environment and brings compassion, clinical skill, and flexibility to their role. Youll work directly with a student requiring tracheostomy care and help them succeed in an educational setting. The assignment begins August 12, 2026, and continues through June 11, 2027, with scheduled onsite shifts in the afternoonstarting at one hour per day, with the potential for additional hours as the student progresses.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current Washington State LPN certification or license is required Prior experience in a school, pediatric, or similar clinical setting preferred Competent with tracheostomy care, monitoring, and emergency procedures Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and effectively with students, families, and school staff Adaptable to evolving responsibilities and schedules Dependability and commitment to providing consistent care throughout the school year
Responsibilities:
Deliver attentive, hands-on nursing care for a student with a tracheostomy during scheduled hours Administer medication, monitor symptoms, and respond to needs as outlined in the students care plan Collaborate with school personnel to ensure coordination and continuity of services Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policy and regulatory standards Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment that encourages the students growth and independence This is an opportunity to contribute your specialized clinical skills in a dynamic educational setting, making a difference in a students daily life and school experience.
