5x8s | Weekend & Holiday Rotation Required Make a Difference Every Day Are you a dedicated LVN/LPN looking for a rewarding opportunity where your clinical skills can make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented nurse to join our correctional healthcare team. In this role, you will play a critical part in medication administration and medication management while providing safe, quality care in a secure healthcare environment. What You'll Do Administer staff-controlled medications to patients within designated housing units. Pass Keep on Person (KOP) medications according to facility policies and procedures. Audit medication carts to ensure medications are organized, secured, and accurately accounted for. Coordinate medication transfers when patients move between housing units or buildings. Maintain accurate medication administration records (MARs) and nursing documentation. Follow all medication management, security, infection control, and patient safety protocols. Communicate effectively with physicians, registered nurses, pharmacists, correctional staff, and members of the healthcare team. Monitor patients for medication effectiveness, adverse reactions, and changes in condition. Perform additional nursing duties as assigned to support facility operations. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Current, unrestricted LVN/LPN license in the state of practice. Experience with medication administration and medication management. Strong documentation and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while following established policies and procedures. Comfortable working in a secure correctional healthcare environment. Willingness to work weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule. Preferred Qualifications Previous correctional nursing experience. Experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, behavioral health, or skilled nursing. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR). Schedule Up to 40 hours per week 5x8 schedule 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM Weekend and holiday rotation required Why Join Us?
