$36 - $40(hourly) Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, mental status evaluations, and physical examinations tailored to behavioral health needs. Administer medications accurately, including injections and IV infusions, following prescribed protocols and safety standards. Monitor patients for adverse reactions or changes in condition, promptly reporting findings to the healthcare team. Assist with developing and implementing individualized care plans that address behavioral health goals and medication management. Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medication adherence, and coping strategies. Maintain detailed medical documentation in electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems), ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies. Support crisis intervention efforts and de-escalate situations using approved behavioral management techniques. Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic patient care. Participate in ongoing training related to trauma-informed care, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), and specialized behavioral health interventions. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and safety guidelines for all procedures.
Requirements:
Active West Virginia LPN license. Minimum 1 year of nursing experience. Behavioral health, psychiatric, or mental health nursing experience relevant to the position.
BLS/BCLS
certification. Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and every other weekend.
