GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Wyoming Retirement Center is seeking a motivated LPN to provide quality health care to persons with mental health, dementia, and medical needs in a home-like setting. The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed at the job level. Provides professional nursing services to residents in chronic and acute care settings. Performs nursing assessments, diagnoses, treatment & evaluation of ill and disabled persons. Accurately prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician. Assists patients in ADLs (Activities of Daily Living). Trains and assigns work to CNAs.KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of laws, principles, practices, and techniques of professional nursing. Knowledge of medication, administration, and complex mathematical calculations for the correct dosage. Knowledge of maintaining medical records, charts, reports, and observations. Knowledge of the aging process, medical problems and diseases, and behavioral issues. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to health care and Standards of Nursing Practice. Knowledge of and ability to function and make decisions in high-stress situations. Knowledge of and ability to use good oral and written communication skills to articulate thoughts and medical terminology.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Associate's Degree (typically in Nursing)Experience:
0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing)Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Lift/transfer patients to different positions. Lift medical/patient equipment of varying sizes and weights to about 50 lbs. Work holidays, evenings, nights, and/or weekends as scheduled.NOTES:
