Non-Exempt Essential Duties and Responsibilities Always keep a courteous and professional manner. Perform initial interview of the client. Once the client's needs are set up, the massage therapist massages the soft tissues and muscles to obtain the desired benefits. Respond or be intuitive to client's request to the level of pressure during the actual massage session. Stay within the timetables set up for scheduled service Maintain proper hygiene before and after massage sessions by disinfecting hands. Must be flexible to work any shift, including weekends and holidays. Maintain a clean and neat work area and appearance. Adhere to hotel's dress code policy. (Navy Blue scrubs or an Arlington T-shirts and navy scrubs pants) If not in uniform you will not work All massage Therapist is scheduled @ 9am, unless otherwise (Late is unacceptable) Sweep, Mop, Disinfect, and dust massage rooms and area daily. Expectations Respect each other and remember what you are here for. The Clerk oversees booking, make sure she knows where you are always. Work within the system and order of booking without complication. Breaks are to be scheduled with the clerk, if you feel you need a break talk to the clerk to find a proper time. You are allowed to take a 15 min break for every 6-hour shift. No one is to be standing, lingering, or interrupting the front desk. It is an incredibly stressful job, and we have an excellent team who does not fold under the pressure. Show them respect, and the same has been told to them. Make sure you complete the Cleaning Log and its duties when you arrive if you open and before you leave if you close.
