Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and experienced Medical / Neuromuscular Massage Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide tailored massage treatments that address specific health concerns, utilizing your expertise in various therapeutic techniques. Your goal will be to enhance patient comfort, support pain management, and contribute to overall wellness by providing exceptional care rooted in physiology and anatomy knowledge. Duties Perform medical massage therapies including Deep Tissue Massage, Targeted Muscle Rehab Massage, Sports and Injury Relief, Myofascial Release, and Neuromuscular Therapy to alleviate pain and improve mobility Post-Op Treatments and Lymphatic Massage Assess client progress and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with their feedback. Apply advanced techniques for pain management, focusing on areas of tension, injury, or dysfunction Customize treatments to focus on old injuries, to loosen and release constrictions and to not just feel better, but to improve health and healing in the body. Educate patients on self-care practices and post-treatment recommendations to support ongoing health Requirements Proven experience as a massage therapist with a focus on medical or therapeutic massage techniques Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy Skilled in client service, assessment, and delivering customized treatment plans Experience with deep tissue massage, sports and injury massage, and pain management strategies Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patients Familiarity with occupational health practices and med spa environments is a plus Certification or licensing required by local regulatory bodies; ongoing professional development encouraged We help you build your clientele. You will be an independent contractor, choosing your own hours (within our schedule and room availability) . We'll help you with marketing your talents and offering specials to draw in more clients and keep you busy. You have the opportunity to be as busy as you want to be. You will start out as part time, which can lead to full time. We have an automated online booking system and we set up your schedule for the hours that work for you.
Responsibilities and Duties Include:
Provide 60 to 90-minute massages for clients at our location Guide clients through our offerings and help them choose the treatment that would benefit them most Take detailed histories from clients, including information about any injuries or conditions Design massage or body treatment to focus on clients' specific complaints or problem areas Listen to clients during massages and adjust pressure and technique to meet their needs Suggest treatment schedules for recurring sessions and offer our package sessions Keeping your room clean, changing sheets, helping with washing sheets and towels and overall cleanliness of the environment Qualifications and Skills Medical Massage and Injury Relief Massage Myofascial Relief Lymphatic and Post Op experience Training in clinical or medical massage techniques. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Possess valid CA state license for massage therapy 3 Years Experience working in a spa or therapy center environment required (medical or clinical massage experience a plus) Reliable transportation required You must be available, on time, on days you are scheduled Good massage technique (your interview will include giving a massage) Excellent customer service and sales skills Benefits You are independent and set your own hours Centralized booking for your clients online and by phone Massage rooms are provided with massage table, sheets, and other supplies Training on use of microcurrent and other massage equipment We do the marketing to keep you busy Tips from clients are yours to keep Join us at Back 2 Perfect and become part of a team committed to healing through intuitive touch and expert care.
