Duties Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health massages to address diverse client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual concerns, medical history, and treatment goals. Apply physiology and anatomy knowledge to develop effective massage strategies that promote pain management and recovery. Communicate clearly with clients about their treatment plans, progress, and any necessary adjustments to ensure comfort and satisfaction. Maintain detailed documentation of each session, including client notes, treatment details, and follow-up recommendations. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including CPR certification and proper sanitation protocols. Provide excellent customer service by creating a relaxing environment and fostering positive client relationships that encourage repeat visits. Requirements Valid massage therapy license or certification in accordance with state or local regulations. Proven experience in various massage techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, sports massage, and occupational health treatments. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pain management strategies. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required to ensure client safety during sessions. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to assess needs accurately and explain treatment options clearly. Prior experience working with diverse populations and understanding occupational health considerations is preferred. Ability to work independently as an contractor while maintaining professionalism and high standards of care.
