Competitive salary Wellness resources Integrative Health Management is searching for an experienced Massage Therapist who will join our wellness team. As our Massage Therapist, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of massage services to our wellness clients. You will greet clients, discuss their needs and goals, and determine the most beneficial treatments based on the information they provided. The candidate will work closely with an integrative wellness team to support the client with a collaborative, holistic approach. You should ensure client satisfaction by being pleasant, friendly, professional, and attentive. Some of your other responsibilities will include ensuring a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment, documenting client progress, and keeping track of your appointments and spa supplies. Ultimately, to be successful as a Massage Therapist, you should have excellent customer service, communication, and organization, as well as physical stamina and strength, and technical knowledge.
Massage Therapist Duties & Responsibilities:
Meet and consult with clients to determine the type of massage they need. Conduct massage sessions using various types of massages and techniques, such as Swedish massage, hot stone massage, reflexology, acupressure, etc. Locate painful or tense body areas and muscles and provide appropriate treatments. Ensure clients do not experience pain or discomfort during sessions. Make sure clients feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the session. Prepare massage oils and lotions, linens, towels, and pillows before the session. Discuss and create treatment plans for clients based on their individual needs and goals. Maintain a safe, clean, sanitized, and enjoyable environment. Document client progress and manage appointments. Take into account clients' medical history and note issues or conditions. Recommend stretching, strengthening, and relaxation methods. Attending meetings and training sessions.
Massage Therapist Requirements:
College Degree Preferred Minimum of High School Diploma Completion of a massage therapy program (minimum five hundred hours of massage therapy courses) Previous working experience as a Massage Therapist is a plus. Solid knowledge of human anatomy and physiology The ability to perform a range of massages that support holistic therapeutic interventions. Exceptional customer service and communication skills Excellent physical stamina and strength Great organization Pleasant and professional appearance
