- Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our team.
- Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and preferences.
- Perform various types of massage therapies, including Swedish, Deep tissue, Prenatal, Myofascial Release, and Sports Massage
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and physiology to communicate effectively with clients and other healthcare professionals.
- Document treatment plans, progress notes, and any changes in client condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide education to clients on self-care techniques, stretching exercises, and pain management strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers in occupational health settings or med spa environments as needed.
- Experience
- Proven experience as a Massage Therapist with a strong portfolio of techniques including but not limited to deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, Myofascial Release, Cupping Fascilitated Stretching, Medical Massage and acute pain management.
- Familiarity with patient assessment protocols and physical examinations is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within a clinical setting.
- Understanding of pain management practices and the ability to apply them in therapeutic settings.
- Experience working in med spas or occupational health environments is a plus.
