In this role, you will provide therapeutic massage services to clients, utilizing various techniques to promote relaxation, relieve pain, and enhance overall well-being. You will work closely with clients to assess their needs and develop personalized treatment plans that address their specific concerns. Your expertise in anatomy, physiology, and pain management will be essential in delivering high-quality care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and preferences. Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities as appropriate. Maintain accurate records of client treatments and progress. Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and provide recommendations for ongoing care. Ensure a clean and welcoming environment for clients before and after treatments. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to optimize patient care. Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in massage therapy and occupational health. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to massage therapy. Proficiency in various massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy. Familiarity with medical terminology and pain management strategies. Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive client experience. Ability to conduct effective patient assessments to tailor treatments accordingly. Understanding of occupational health principles as they relate to massage therapy. Experience in a med spa environment is a plus but not required.
