Working alongside our Performance Coaches, Physical Therapists, Neuro Team, and Recovery Specialists, the Massage Therapist helps clients recover more efficiently, reduce pain, improve mobility, and optimize physical function. This position requires a compassionate professional who combines outstanding soft tissue expertise and manual therapy skills with exceptional customer service and a commitment to the BARWIS philosophy of individualized professional care. Primary Responsibilities Client Care Perform professional therapeutic massage sessions based on each client's individual needs and goals. Utilize appropriate massage techniques including sports massage, soft tissue, myofascial release, stretching, and recovery techniques. Develop individualized treatment plans that complement BARWIS performance and rehabilitation programs. Monitor client progress and adjust treatments as needed. Maintain accurate treatment documentation after each session. Collaboration Communicate regularly with Performance Coaches, Physical Therapists, Neuro Specialists, and other members of the BARWIS team regarding client progress. Participate in multidisciplinary discussions to ensure coordinated care. Make recommendations for additional BARWIS services when appropriate, including Performance Training, Physical Therapy, Stretch Therapy, Recovery Services, Neuro Performance, and ARS Evaluations. Facility & Operations Prepare treatment rooms before each session. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of treatment areas, equipment, and linens according to company standards. Ensure all supplies remain stocked and organized. Follow all safety, privacy, and professional standards. Client Experience Create a welcoming, professional, and positive environment for every client. Educate clients on recovery, mobility, hydration, self-care, and injury prevention. Build long-term relationships through exceptional service and consistent communication. Assist in creating an outstanding overall BARWIS experience. Professional Development Participate in mandatory staff meetings, continuing education, and BARWIS learning events. Continue developing manual therapy techniques and knowledge of human performance. Stay current with industry best practices and recovery methodologies. Qualifications Current state Massage Therapy License in good standing. CPR/AED Certification (or ability to obtain). Experience with sports massage, therapeutic massage, or orthopedic massage preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Passion for helping people improve their health, movement, recovery, and performance. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with athletes, general population, and those with neurological disorders or injuries. Knowledge of biomechanics and movement. Experience working alongside Physical Therapists or Strength & Conditioning professionals. Familiarity with recovery technologies and performance environments. ART, Mobilization knowledge, Myofascial Release Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive manual therapy techniques. Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 pounds. Ability to maintain professional energy throughout multiple treatment sessions. Compensation Please note that there is a potential opportunity for a part time hourly and/or a full time salaried position.
