Job Summary This is an unprecedented opportunity to learn and perform authentic Āyurvedic therapeutic ( i.e. Panchakarma) and relaxation massage therapies and earn an excellent living. We are looking for a permanent, part-time employee . Dr. Scott Gerson is this nation's leading clinical Ayurvedic physician and is a Professor of Medicine at UCF College of Medicine. He is also a full professor of Ayurveda from University of Pune (India). We recen re-located the practice to Sarasota, FL.

com Training includes:

Abhyanga (Traditional Ayurvedic oil massage), Shirodhara (the famous "third-eye drip" done with oils, milk, ghee, buttermilk, etc), Lepa (Ayurvedic herbal paste treatment), Pizichhili (Oil-pouring over entire body), Shirobasti (Head herbalized oil bath), and many more techniques. There will be ongoing training in all of these Ayurvedic treatment techniques, but the successful licensed candidate can begin to work and earn after receiving one week of training from Dr. Gerson himself and the other staff. You will also learn to administer Panchakarma Therapies , which are similar to Ayurvedic spa therapies but are more therapeutic, given for 6-9 consecutive days, are highly individualized. In your work as an Ayurvedic Therapist you will be contributing to each client's physical and mental well-being in a real way. In addition, the other important aspect of this position involves being the Administrative Assistant of the practice. You will answer the phone (remotely), make appointments, and answer questions. You will also send out email blasts and be a large part in building and marketing the practice and Spa. The salary for the administrative duties is $15/hour and is currently averaging 4hr/day, 4 days per week Full details of that aspect of the job will be discussed with you. Skills Strong patient service skills with a focus on compassionate communication and active listening. Adequate knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy. Proficiency in various massage techniques including deep tissue work and trigger point therapy. Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor that fosters trust and comfort.
