About the Position We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and detail-oriented Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to join our plastic surgery practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in post-operative massage and lymphatic drainage and will play an important role in supporting patients throughout their recovery following cosmetic procedures. The therapist will work closely with our medical team to provide safe, personalized treatments that promote patient comfort, support recovery, and enhance the overall patient experience. Key Responsibilities Perform post-operative lymphatic drainage and therapeutic massage according to the patient's procedure and recovery plan. Provide massage services to patients following procedures such as liposuction, BBL, tummy tuck, breast surgery, and other cosmetic procedures, within the therapist's training and scope of practice. Assess patients before each treatment and identify concerns that may require referral to the medical team. Follow all physician instructions, post-operative protocols, and safety guidelines. Maintain accurate and timely patient treatment records. Educate patients on appropriate post-operative care, recovery practices, and treatment recommendations as directed by the medical team. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment environment. Follow all infection-control, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, patient coordinators, and other members of the practice. Provide exceptional customer service and help create a comfortable, supportive experience for every patient. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable HIPAA requirements. Assist with other patient-care responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Active Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) license in the state of Florida. Completion of an accredited massage therapy program. Experience in post-operative massage or manual lymphatic drainage preferred. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and safe massage techniques. Experience working with plastic surgery patients is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a medical team. Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow medical protocols and physician instructions. Preferred Skills Specialized training in manual lymphatic drainage. Experience treating patients after liposuction, BBL, tummy tuck, or other body-contouring procedures. Knowledge of post-operative recovery protocols. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Familiarity with electronic medical records and patient documentation. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and perform massage treatments. Ability to assist patients with positioning and movement when appropriate. Ability to lift or assist with light patient-care equipment as needed.
