Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our dynamic wellness team. In this role, you will provide exceptional massage therapy services designed to promote relaxation, alleviate pain, and support overall well-being for a diverse clientele. Your expertise will help clients achieve their health goals through customized treatment plans utilizing a variety of massage techniques. Responsibilities Deliver a wide range of massage therapies including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, myofascial release techniques, and specialized treatments such as prenatal and postnatal massage. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Utilize advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology to ensure safe and effective therapy sessions. Adapt massage techniques for specific populations such as athletes, elderly clients, children, and individuals with chronic pain or stress-related conditions. Maintain a clean and professional treatment environment adhering to health and safety standards. Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments or referrals when necessary. Document client progress accurately in compliance with clinic protocols and maintain detailed treatment records. Requirements Valid Florida state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification. Proven experience providing diverse massage therapies including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, prenatal/postnatal massage, Thai massage, Shiatsu, acupressure, reflexology services, lymphatic drainage massage, trigger point therapy, hot stone massage, and other modalities listed. Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to customize treatments effectively. Ability to perform patient assessments and adjust techniques based on individual needs. Excellent communication skills to educate clients and foster a welcoming environment. Experience working with special populations such as athletes, elderly clients, children or post-surgery patients is preferred. Prior experience in med spa settings or corporate wellness programs is a plus. Commitment to ongoing professional development in massage therapy techniques and industry standards.
