Are you a Licensed Massage Therapist looking for something different from the traditional spa environment? We are an established podiatric medical practice seeking a Florida Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to join our medical team and help develop our growing Lower Extremity Recovery Program . This is a unique opportunity to work alongside two board-certified podiatric physicians and an experienced clinical team while providing therapeutic massage focused specifically on the feet and lower legs (below the knee) all while working a flexible schedule and receiving competitive pay with commission opportunities.

What Makes This Position Different:

You won't be expected to build a client base from scratch. Our practice has an established patient population with patients who may benefit from therapeutic lower-extremity massage as part of their overall foot and ankle care.

What You'll Do:

Our LMT will provide professional therapeutic massage services to patients experiencing lower-extremity concerns such as: Foot and heel discomfort Plantar fascia-related tightness and discomfort Calf and lower-leg muscle tightness Achilles-related conditions when medically appropriate Muscle fatigue and overuse Lower-extremity stiffness Sports-related foot and lower-leg complaints General soft-tissue discomfort Recovery following certain foot and ankle conditions when cleared by the treating physician You will work closely with our podiatric physicians and clinical staff to ensure treatments are safe and appropriate for each patient.

Responsibilities:

Provide therapeutic massage of the feet, ankles and lower legs Review relevant patient information and physician recommendations Adjust massage techniques and pressure according to patient needs Properly position and support elderly and mobility-limited patients Recognize contraindications and obtain physician guidance when necessary Communicate patient concerns or unusual findings to the medical team Document treatments according to office protocols Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary treatment environment Educate patients within the LMT's professional scope Maintain excellent patient communication and professional boundaries

Who We're Looking For:

REQUIRED - NO EXCEPTIONS - FULL BACKGROUND CHECK WILL BE PERFORMED

Active Florida Massage Therapist license in good standing Professional and dependable Excellent patient communication skills Comfortable working with feet and lower legs Comfortable working with an older patient population Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff Willingness to learn more about common podiatric and lower-extremity conditions Preferred but not required: Experience with medical massage, sports massage, orthopedics, rehabilitation, geriatric massage, chiropractic care or lower-extremity massage. This could be an excellent fit for an LMT who enjoys therapeutic work and wants to use their skills in a medical environment rather than a traditional spa setting. You'll have the opportunity to learn from a highly trained podiatric medical team while helping us build a new service designed around patient comfort, recovery and lower-extremity wellness. We're initially offering this as a flexible part-time position, with the potential for increased hours and eventual full-time employment as the program grows.
